My bike my life my r15 - Open roads here I come

At the end of 28th of august 2008 I got my dream bike the yamaha r15. You should see babes (bikes and alike) always leave a big hole in your pocket. It cost me 1.09lakh rupees but as far as I can see it wort it. Next thing you would be saying is why didn't I go for a car for this money my answer world be some thing that I read somewhere that captivated me a lot

"A car is for your body and the bike is for your soul". This bike makes you see and fell that you have a soul all along.

Day one, day two everything went smooth and out of great push from my mother I did the ceremonial pooja's for the bike. The lemon breaking ceremony. Even this didnt help me and on day four i met with a flat tyre and my babe didnt let me down on the road and I came to know about it only the next day, when I tried to find a tyre repair shop I was not able to find any and had to take it to a local tyre repair man. This was really dishartening, now I understood what love is seeing him pull the tire out without any care for it really killed me. He scratched the rims please understand it a living thing, it breathes and it just 4 days old.

After a few days took it to the service station since there was some screeching sound from the chain due to lack of lubrication. The service guys fixed all the scratched on the bike and made it look like new. She was back in all beauty. Took some killer snaps and I think you would have already seen them in my album. If not then what are you wasting your time for, go right there see its the third wonder in india. the other two have been reserved which I will reveal later.

Was very careful for the first 500km drove just below 60kmph and after 500 till 1000 drove below 70. While leaving from office all the office cabs (Sumos - Some time i used to travel in them) overtake me and even auto wallas used to overtake me and used to complain why i have an r15 and I am driving this slow.

The first service is over now its pay back time see me post the fastest heard that the bike goes up to 140 lets see how fast she goes.

Lets burn the roads and how i dont get burnt with it

And then lost my phone at the end of it all!!!! I am bereaved now. Great loss and suffering.

And then someone even stole my mp3 player.

Left college on 07-08-2007, now at home with nothing left to do.

Worked in my fathers campany for a month and now about to join HCL on October 9th.Leaving Kerala on October 7th and dont know when i might return. Till i am away this page will be my home away from home.

Joined HLC Technologies and now undergoing training as a Software Engineer. Training is for three months and my patform is AS 400. Very busy and starting to hate travelling in Tamil Nadu State Road Transport buses in Chennai. Now learning things i dont like (Software Engineering). Bye..........

New stories. My training in AS400 was interrupted in between and was posted in another British Telecom specific training on Unix and Oracle.

The training sessions were better fun than Engineering College. Now having completed the training am now posted in HCL Technologies, Navalur, Kancheepuram District, Chennai 600119. Telecom Domain, British Offshore Development Centre.

Travelling to office takes 1.5 hours and the return journey back home take 2.5 hours. and this is what you call traffic. The office is around 30km from my where i stay.

Made great friends while in training and have become one among the tamilians.

My new love the chennai electric trains even though it dosent have service to where my office is. Reasons which i alone know best.

Now into learning new innovative stuff in BT.

New twist in the story, it seems that i might again get shifted to come other department. Will know once i get back to office after Pongal. See almost about to get three transfers in three months.

The climate in chennai was great till now but things are about to heat up.

In the beginning was not having anything to do, but now things have changed and have started working with some great people. Now its for shure work seems fun.

Made lots of friends and it seems that I know a lot of them. But feel sad at times when they get transferred.

Enjoy my breaks in the cafeteria see always maintain WORK life BALANCE.
See the life is smaller I think you get my point.

At times am so busy with work that I miss thaking breaks, talking with freiends as well as the company bus and come home with SUMO wrestlers (SUMO - Cabs).

People indeed are great once you get to know them.

Keep your fingers crossed fo things that are to happen next.

Got an opportunity to go onsite (UK) but never thought it to be true as with HCL its like that. My Visa was processed and when I was about to leave I was told that the Application has been offshored so I need not got onsite.

Felt very bad as in the start I knew something like this would happen but in the end felt as if it would really happen.

Now back in Navalur,Chennai. Working late at times come home at 5am. Myaverage working hours in office is close to 13 hours per day. Where as this work is not compulsory but voluntary.

Now as an ASG. Successfully made an application which failed in the first go pass in second operational war gaming.

Now got shifted to UK Shift timings. the timings are from 13:00 to 22:30. Cabs come for pick up as well as for dropping at night. My social life is slowly getting destroyed. Most of them whom I know would be asleep when I come home at 23:30.

Need to get a bike in chennai. The city is huge and finding recreation in the city is difficult. And a bike looks like a ticket to freedom.

My aspirations for life always stay youung even when you are 45. At forty five you should be able to say what 45 i am still 4+5.
